The Needles – chairlift (weather permitting) sweeping across the glorious coloured cliffs of Alum Bay with spectacular view of the Lighthouse - where Marconi first experimented with telegraphy and the site of the world’s first permanent radio station – see the commemorative monument.

Niton – along the Military Road with lovely panoramic views of the Island’s Jurassic Coast. Walk down to visit the Marconi radio station (NT) With splendid views of St. Catherine’s Lighthouse, hear the tragic tale of the Clarendon shipwreck of 1836.
